Keith Emerson & Greg Lake to tour US in spring 2010
It appears that Keith Emerson and Greg Lake are doing a duo tour of (at least) the US in 2010. ELP Publicist Tony Ortiz announced on his blog that Keith and Greg will be touring but that, at this stage anyway, only one date has been announced – The Ridgefield Playhouse in Connecticut.
The gig hasn’t been announced on the venues’s website as yet but hopefully all the information will start to trickle through soon so that we can all make arrangements to attend the shows – especially us travelling from snowy Scotland and other places further afield. We have flights, trains cars, buses, boats, taxis and bicycles to arrange!
The things you do to see ELp live every 10-15 years! I guess it’s part of the price you pay… and you do get to see more of the world.
In 1992 I saw most of the UK (maybe 8? cant remember) shows and also a few in the East Coast (Boston Albany, Syracuse)
In 1996 I saw three amphitheatre shows (Darien Lakes, Toronto, Scranton)
In 1997 I saw two shows (Hamburg, Dresden) so I am not bothered that they don’t even play in Scotland – it’s much more exciting traveling round albeit a bit more expensive.
That is awesome. Is Carl Palmer joining them or is he busy with his own band and Asia? Will Keith and Greg use a drummer or do an acoustic set?

Figures.
I lived in CT for 20 years, just moved to Florida a little over a year ago. Oy.
I’ve been following Emerson’s playing since the early 70’s (hey, no comments about my age).
I hope they add more dates and places.
