Zdiar

February 3rd, 2010

zdiarheadZdiar is a project in collaboration with German writer/producer Ralf Seidel. It has an electronic/prog sound and Ralf’s background brings an even wider range of influences particularly from the dance music, electronic, and euro pop.

The ‘concept album’ The Agartha Tesseract was written and recorded in Wernigerode in the Harz mountains in Germany in a four week period and consists mainly of instrumental tracks. The Agartha Tesseract is based on the mythical land of Agrtha which exists in a fourth dimension (a Tesseract)

Bearing more than a slight resemblance to a soundtrack the album is a musical journey with a atmospheric synth textures, pseudo orchestralĀ  pieces, sampled guitars and two vocal tracks featuring the amazing voice of Des McFarlane (who also sang on the Balance of Risk).

People Sound (the music portal) described The Agartha Tesseract as

“Amazing songwriting and atmospheres with mix of classic prog/pop elementsĀ  with contemporary drum programming and soundscapes. Zdiar haveĀ  a very unique sound and an ability to paint distinct pictures with their music. Give us more!”

Downloads and CD’s coming soon.
